Pale Smoked Haddock ½ Stone Box
Our very popular (Award Winning) pale smoked North Sea haddock fillets, great for a Cullen skink or poached in milk to be added to a seafood risotto.

This is a gentle smoke, which has a really clean finish, unlike so many smoked fish.
A gentle smoked oak aroma. Beautiful fillets that gently flake when cut. The smoked oak flavour stays on the palate and is pleasingly balanced with the fish. Very succulent whilst also having a gentle sticky bite. Very delicious.
Light colour with gentle smoked fish aroma. Lightly smoked flavour, very subtle oakiness, but enough. The fish flakes perfectly when broken into. A good example of a simple ingredient that has been carefully processed.
Shiny fillets with good integrity. The smoke was resonant from a distance - it's marked and persistent, yet not acrid. Salinity is sound, and the flaky texture pleasing. The smoke is certainly insistent - one for lovers of deep smoke layering. It lingers on the palate, yet again has no hint of acridity. A simple, honest product, versatile as suggested.
Hand filleted, vacuum packed and suitable for home freezing.
Must be cooked before consumption.

Although every care has been taken to remove all bones some may remain.
